The IRW Chironsala was a D'deridex-class warbird of the Romulan Star Navy, named for Gaius tr'Chironsala, a Praetor of the Romulan Star Empire during the 23rd century. During the 2380s, the Chironsala was often assigned to diplomatic missions for the Empire; in 2386, the Chironsala transported the Romulan ambassador to a meeting with Colonial Alliance Chairman Michael Eddington aboard Liberty Station. Though the ship was named for the Praetor, her commanding officer prefered to think that she was named for the Praetor's father, Keras, one of the last of his line to follow the Rihannsu way. (Star Trek: Sons of Liberty)
