The IRW Fierce Talon was a Norexan-class Romulan Warbird from the 24th century. (Star Trek: Pioneer)
In 2383, the Fierce Talon was commanded by Commander Rhiana Keras, with Subcommander Stelam executive officer. The ship was sent to investigate the planet Yoth. Communication contact with the warbird was lost, so the Romulan Star Empire asked Starfleet for assistance. Starfleet sent the USS Pioneer and the USS Stefansson to investigate. When the two Federation starships arrived at Yoth, only the warbird's commanding and executive officer had survived the lost of the ship, which was believed to be caused by a being known as the Beast.
