The IRW Khellian was a D'deridex-class Romulan Warbird from the 24th century. (Star Trek: Pioneer)
In mid-2379, the Khellian encountered the USS Pioneer and her crew. Using a diplomatic meeting and dinner to his advantage, the warbird commader Telek L'mar took DNA samples from Captain Benjamin Kelsoe. ("Beware Romulans Bearing Gifts")
Later that year the Khellian was sabotaged and abandoned by L'mar, when it the Romulan Senate declared him an outlaw and traitor for continuing his cloning work after they had shut the cloning project down. The USS Pioneer would discover the wreckage and the young clone of Captain Kelsoe, who later died aboard the Pioneer. ("The Crossing", "Unresolved Matters")
