In the mirror universe the ISS Enterprise-D was built by the remnant of the Terran Empire in secret after the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance reduced the Empire to their own home solar system. It was commanded by Jean-Luc Picard. (Star Trek: The Next Generation: "Mirror Broken")
The crew included William T. Riker as first officer, Data as second officer and operations officer, Natasha Yar as chief of security, Beverly Crusher as chief medical officer, Geordi La Forge as chief engineer and Deanna Troi as the ships inquisitor.
The Enterprise-D was the Terran Empire's only Galaxy-class starship.

In another permutation of the mirror universe Jean-Luc Picard commanded the ISS Enterprise-D in the closing days of its war with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. The Terran Empire had been left vulnerable when its attempt to secure an Iconian gateway backfired. Picard kept Beverly Crusher as his mistress, but then disposed of her with help from Deanna Troi and was then forced to appoint Selar, a Vulcan slave, as the ship's Chief Medical Officer, as Selar was the only one aboard with the medical knowledge and the war caused a shortage of all officers.(The Final Days) The ship's fate is unknown, but Picard went on to become an Alliance regent.
