This is a highly specialized office in Starfleet Command. This officer is of Flag officer rank and deals with the inspections and the internal affairs of both Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets.
This officer does frequent inspections of Starships and Starbases and to investigate any anomalies within those bodies.
This officer also carries an Adjutant of Captain rank or lower.
