J'rrreshar was a Gorn officer in the United Federation of Planets Starfleet on active duty in at least the 23rd century.
He aspired to be a captain in Starfleet and was one of the first of his people to attend Starfleet Academy's Command Staff College. When J'rrreshar took the Kobayashi Maru exam in 2297, one of the officers serving as bridge simulator crew secretly held a bias against the Gorn species.
