The Jade Fox was a Ferengi D'Kora-class marauder in the late 24th and early 25th century. (Star Trek: Starbase 001, Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History[]

In the 2370s, the Jade Fox was in the Ferengi Alliance before someone stole it and someone else stole it from that first person. The third time it was stolen, it was by a Ferengi pirate named Tog.

In 2381, Tog lost the ship to a fourth steal by a bounty hunter named Rune Sith. Sith took sole occupancy with his android spider companion Zeta and used it to cultivate paid bountys. Three months into Sith's command, after visiting a Romulan space station for information on an Orion slave girl bounty, Sith used the Jade Fox, unintentionally attacking the USS Columbia through Zeta, and captured his bounty. After escape, and three months of pursuit, the Columbia caught up with the Jade Fox and imprisoned Sith. (Star Trek: Starbase 001)

In 2393, Zeta was still on the Jade Fox and, this time, as part of a fifth steal, the ship's humanoid sole occupants were Arlene and BOK, with the ship out of Starfleet hands and again not affiliated with the Ferengi Alliance. By this time, there was a cloaking device installed on it, and the three used the ship for bounty hunting, trading and artifact finding. When they tracked the Amakun artifact to Covalesence, they joined with the USS Phoenix-X and helped free the Amaku entity within. After this, BOK took the opened and broken artifact and all three escaped the Phoenix-X on the Jade Fox. ("Archaeological Anarchy")

Ferengi Alliance[]

In 2410, the Jade Fox was back in the Ferengi Alliance, commanded by DiaMon Cide. He used it to launch several modified-Genesis-torpedoes into an unexplored planet, in the Delta Volanis Cluster, in an attempt to transform all its life into algae. Its harmful actions were halted by the Phoenix-X. ("Gender Swap")

Later, the crew of the Jade Fox had their minds involuntarily switched out into the bodies of the crew of the USS Crucial, by Wayfar when he was trying to help the Takarian Sages into corporeal form. The Jade Fox crew used the accident to their advantage to temporarily take over the Takarian homeworld until Wayfar sent their minds out of the Crucial's bodies again, in an attempt to fix things. ("Better Angels of Our Nature")
