In 2398, he was given command of the USS Brazos on the occasion of his promotion to Commander.
In 2402, he took command of one of Star Fleet's newest ships, the USS Ogara.
In the mid-25th century, Star Fleet's new prototype, the USS Serendipity was given to him along with a promotion from Commander to Captain.
