Janessa Mitchel was a Starfleet science officer serving during the late 24th century. Mitchel was assigned to the USS Armitage in the 2390s. (Constar Completed: Unsteady)

Both Janessa and her sister Chloe were members of the Knights (formerly known as The Network). (Faith)

About 2370, Mitchel was one of the many officers consulted by Commander Philip Yung when the latter conducted an investigation into the death of one of Erick Minard's friends aboard the USS Destiny.

While she did not refer to the conflict by name, she knew of the coming war with the Dominion and was trying to avert it. In her future timeline, Deep Space 9 would be destroyed. (Constar Chronicles: The Situation Room)
