Along with Lieutenant Commander Kanril Eleya, commander of USS Kagoshima, and Bardak, commander of USS Leran Manev, he responded to a possible attack on the colony of Turtle Bay on Rabaul III. He engaged and destroyed a Klingon B'rel-class bird-of-prey after Kanril baited it into leaving formation.
