The technology level of the inhabitants seemed to be equivalent to that of Earth's late 19th or early 20th centuries. They were descended from humans who had been rebels on the Earth colony of Lunar One, circa 2100. Decades after settlement, they had split into at least two tribes.
Unusually, the inhabitants were susceptible to the Gualloxian virus, to which humans were normally immune. Medical scans revealed that they were 97.8 percent Human, with the remaining 2.2 percent uncertain, pending further analysis.
