Wright was previously assigned to the USS Calvary, along with his parents, during the Battle of Wolf 359. (Break Free) He was missing and presumed dead for months. Captain Erick Minard was asked to rescue him by his former commanding officer. Wright was found by Minard on a Class M planet where he had been on the run from renegade Klingons.
