Kaitlyn Chandler

Kaitlyn Chandler, or Kate, as she prefers to be called, was a human Starfleet officer who served during the latter part of the 24th century. From 2370 onward, she was the science officer of the USS Repulse. (Star Trek: The Nomad Frontier)

Early Life

Kate was born in Vancouver, Canada, in 2343. Growing up, her parents were devout pacifists, and she inherited their beliefs. (ST: TNF "Baptism of Fire")

Starfleet Academy

Kate graduated with the class of 2365.

Early Career

From the time of her graduation, until her assignment aboard the Repulse, Kate spent her entire career serving at a stellar observatory in the Kelnon system. While there, she was published in the Federation Science Journal.

USS Repulse

Although initially thrilled with the opportunity to finally serve aboard a starship, Kate quickly found herself disappointed at the lack of opportunities for real research and discovery. Despite this, she quickly made friendships, and in 2371, she entered into a romantic relationship with Jeff Sanderson. (ST: TNF "Archangel")

In 2372, she was promoted to full lieutenant. (ST: TNF "Death Before Dishonor")

Personal Life

Kate is a pacifist, and as a result is usually the most conscientious of the senior staff. Although she finds herself often put into dangerous situations, she nonetheless attempts to conduct herself in the most peaceful manner possible. Her closest friends aboard are Dr. Natalya Zhurova and Ensign Androvar Kovax.
