The Krantians were a Beta Quadrant species, native to the planet Krant, who were apparently allies of the Hydran Kingdom. Krantians were not very fond of history or romance but they operated the most impenetrable maximum-security prisons in Hydran territory. (RIS Bouteina: "Kathelet")
