The Kure Shipyard was a Federation shipyard active in the 25th century, with elements on the surface at Kure, Japan, on Earth, as well as in orbit. It was known to be specialized in the construction of carriers.
The USS Stratogale was being built at Kure in 2415. Its commandant, Captain Michelle Gale, was scheduled to take the command of the Stratogale upon completion. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Asteroid Dusting")
