Kwanzai Hiro was a 24th century Earth industrialist, philanthropist, and vice-chairman of Fortuna Industries, a Terran manufacturing conglomerate. A dark-skinned man of Japanese and African ancestry, he was also a leading member of the Humanists. In 2382 Hiro and Starfleet Captain Esteban Maroto tried (unsuccessfully) to recruit Stephen April to the Humanist cause, diverting April's subspace transport beam (en route to Earth) to Aldebaran Station.
