Kyle Raymond

Kyle Raymond served as Head of Sector Operations and was posted at Starbase 371. (Star Trek: Independence)

USS Tecumseh

Raymond was recognized as one of the best officers in the fleet while he commanded this Excelsior class vessel.

The Tecumseh fought in the Federation-Cardassian War and the Second Federation-Klingon War, where it and the USS Rutledge led the Starfleet counterattack into the Archanis sector in 2373. (DS9: "Nor the Battle to the Strong")

The ship served gallantly during the Dominion War and had several causalities. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight", "Image in the Sand")

Starbase 371

In late 2375, Raymond was promoted to Rear Admiral and assigned to Starbase 371 to perform as Sector Operations Commander.

A year later, he was on the panel that investigated the destruction of the USS Independence (NCC-77199). The other admirals didn't believe Captain Sintina Aurelia's story about Section 31 being involved. Raymond, however, had previously been involved with Retired Admiral Nyota Uhura's group and secretly believed the captain.

He offered her command of a Steamrunner-class ship.
