The Liberty (NX-17) was an NX-class starship commissioned in 2160, one of the first vessels of her class designed for combat operations during the Earth-Romulan War. On Liberty's first mission, she led the Coalition Starfleet at the Battle of Cheron. Liberty was destroyed in the engagement, but her sacrifice ensured victory for the allies. (Star Trek: Liberty)
