The Lost Void was a space between timelines that was hard to access due to its paradoxical nature. It was a massive expanse of ever-repeating patterns in all directions and a world that was a fractal in itself. The local inhabitants were a peaceful race of various shapes, all based on ideas who spoke in psychic images and of whom most did not understand written language. (The Unreliable's Light, Star Trek: Phoenix-X)
Topography[]
The Lost Void was hard to navigate, considering its infinite patterns. There were landmarks to indicate what timeline you were close to and they could be as subtle as the carving in a sign or the features of a statue. All native light in the Lost Void was natural, yet not very bright, being about as bright as a neon white sign. Traversing the Lost Void was hard, due to timelines being more of a location than a concept. For those seeking an exit, one would have had to look for things they knew was in their timeline and looked for differences.
