Major general

Major general is a military rank used by various different organisations.

In Lyran Starfleet Security, the rank of major general was held by the commander of a division. (Star Trek: False Vacuum)

In the Romulan Ground Forces the rank of Major-General was given to the officer who had overall command of the entire RGF and was only answerable to the Continuing Committee. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
