Mark Kingsnorth is most known in the Star Trek world for his design and 3D model of the Insignia-class starship, which was based on one of the Nova-class starship designs at the back of the original Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual.
Kingsnorth is also known for having created the commissioned Ascension class, USS Phoenix, for a fan based production company who approached him and asked him to design their hero ship for Star Trek: Phoenix.
