The Montreal Canadiens' logo, 1952-present
The Montreal Canadiens (French: Le Canadien de Montréal) is a professional hockey team founded in 1909, based in Montreal, who won at least 24 Stanley Cups during its existence, 22 of which were won at the Montreal Forum. It was well-known to ancient hockey historians that the team had its moments of glory between the 1950s to the 1980s and that this hockey team was the most prestigious Terran professional hockey team of both the 20th century and the 21st century, especially since that team was termed one of the Original Six.
