Narendra class

The Narendra-class (or in an alternate timeline, the Swornfree-class) heavy cruiser was a class of Federation starship in service during the 24th and 25th centuries. (Star Trek Online)

One of the earliest vessels of this class, after the prototype, was the USS Avenger, commissioned in the first quarter of the 24th century. (Star Trek: Avenger)

Nomenclature

The class, and lead ship and prototype, was named after Narendra III, the site of a Klingon colony near the border of the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets. (ENT: "Judgment") In 2344, nearly 20 years after the class was launched, four Romulan Star Empire warbirds would attack the colony. (TNG: "Yesterday's Enterprise")
