The Neyel are a sub-race of Earth's humanity. They lived in O'Neil habitats around Earth's orbit during the 21st century, but an accident sent them to travel space and time. During this time, they were genetically engineered to live in outer space.
The Neyel now live in a satellite-galaxy of the Milky Way and constructed an empire. (The Lost Era novel: The Sundered)
