Captain Nuno da Silva was a Federation Starfleet line officer who was the first officer of the USS Republic in the 2260s.
He had previously been the commanding officer of the USS Columbia. (Tales from the Neutral Zone: Starship Republic: Serpent of Yesterday)
- It was unrevealed if da Silva took a demotion to commander after he became XO of the Republic.
Starfleet career[]
Prior to serving on the Republic, da Silva served on the USS Valiant, or at least was traveling on that ship. (Starship Valiant: The Valhalla Stone, Minard)
- da Silva wore a "Cage"/"Where No Man..."-style uniform in The Valhalla Stone, but Star Trek: The Original Series-style captain's stripes on the sleeves. He may have just been recently promoted from commander. As well, he wore a Republic patch in that fan film.
Family[]
Da Silva's sister was Lieutenant Emily da Silva, who served on the Valiant as transporter chief. She later married Erick Minard. Emily was killed in 2269 when the ship was attacked by vessels of the Suculon Empire. (Minard)
