Patricia "Patty" Allen was a Federation Starfleet science officer assigned to the USS Potemkin in the late 2290s. (Project Potemkin: "The Void")
In 2296, Lieutenant Allen replaced the previous chief science officer, Lieutenant Commander Chulan Sukarnoputri, who had been killed in action. Allen was relatively young to have such a billet not very long after her graduation from Starfleet Academy, and Potemkin was also her first deep-space assignment.
Allen's previous assignment was an archeological dig on Valoren VI. Here, she discovered a "Rosetta stone" that allowed the translation of the Valoren language into Ancient Rigelian. Allen's outstanding field work fast-tracked her to being posted to Potemkin. (Project Potemkin Crew Bio)
