Paul Hewson was a security officer and 'Onboard Security' Operations Head of Division aboard the USS Grissom (NCC-638) in 2285. (Star Trek: Grissom)
Hewson was killed in 2285 when the Grissom encountered the renegade Deltan Terlis at Cinera Base in the Epsilon Mynos System. Hewson's partner, Mark Atkins, was a friend of Captain Jeffery Pierce of the USS Hathaway.
