Peanut Hamper

Peanut Hamper is a Starfleet officer serving in the latter decades of the 24th century. She was one of the first Exocomp Starfleet officers.

History

Not much is known of Peanut Hamper's service history aboard the USS Cerritos prior to her being separated from the ship during a battle with a Pakled clumpship in 2380. (LD: "No Small Parts")

After a year stranded in the debris field caused by the battle, Peanut Hamper was able to jury-rig a warp sled and use it to escape from a band of Drookmani scavengers.

Crash landing on the planet Areolus, Peanut Hamper proceeded to use the advanced technology in her body to better the lives of the village she was located by, in apparent violation of the Prime Directive.

However, as time passed and Peanut Hamper and Rawda (the son of the village chieftain) spent time together (and eventually falling in love), Peanut Hamper learned that the Areore did indeed possess advanced (albeit ancient by Federation standards) spaceflight technology--officially rendering Peanut Hamper's Prime Directive violations moot.

On the night before hers and Rawda's wing-joining ceremony, Peanut Hamper--still paranoid about being arrested by Starfleet for being AWOL--prepared to send a transmission to the Drookmani. (LD: "A Mathematically Perfect Redemption")

However, in a timeline observed by Q (Junior), Peanut Hamper decided not to send the transmission--deciding that in her soon-to-be-husband, Peanut Hamper had found someone worth sacrificing herself for.

After an attack by the Drookmani, in which Peanut Hamper risked her existence to sabotage one of the two Areore ships that the Drookmani had captured, Peanut Hamper presented herself for disciplinary action.

However, Cerritos Captain Carol Freeman assured Peanut Hamper that her valiant struggles to survive in the Pakled debris field and her heroic actions saving the Aerore--coupled with the Aerore knowledge of spaceflight--warranted not just a promotion to Lieutenant and reinstatement to duty but being nominated for the Starfleet Medal of Valor.

A few days later, during hers and Rawda's Federation-style wedding reception, Peanut Hamper was officially promoted to Lieutenant and given the Medal of Valor.

On Stardate 59748.3, Peanut Hamper was officially named the new Head Nurse of the Cerritos by Chief medical officer Dr. T'Ana. (What If...Peanut Hamper Really Redeemed Herself?)
