Peter Wiggin was a human male active as a Federation Starfleet non-commissioned officer in the early 25th century. (Bait and Switch)

Biography[]

StarSword mentioned in the discussion thread for the Star Trek Online: Literary Challenge "STO Halloween" that Wiggin was born in New Zealand.

In 2409 Wiggin held the rank of master chief petty officer and a sensor specialist rating. He was assigned to the USS Bajor. (Bait and Switch)

Wiggin appears in most Bait and Switch stories but does little besides operate the ship's sensors.

In 2410 Wiggin helped Captain Kanril Eleya demonstrate to the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance the antiproton sweep technique for penetrating a cloaking device, inadvertently revealing a pair of Terran Empire Defiant-class ships that had been spying on them. Later in the mission he gave a warning that allowed most of the joint fleet to avoid an enemy minefield. (The Wrong Reflection)

In the early stages of the Iconian War Wiggin was able to determine a weakness in the Iconian Iaidon-class dreadnought Unyielding Hierophant which allowed an allied battle group led by Bajor to penetrate its deflector shield and force it into retreat. High Admiral D'trel recommended him for the Empress Ael Medal for uncovering this. (Beat the Drums of War)
