"Possible Regret" was the fifty-sixth episode of Star Trek: Phoenix-X. It was the sixth episode of the third season.
Summary[]
The USS Rune is encountered by a Hexen starship, the Logitech-- a species long extinct-- who demand the return of Trunks. When the Phoenix-X gets heed of this, they infiltrate the Rune and the Logitech, where the Hexens claim they are survivors and that they want to avenge the death of their species. But upon further investigation, it is discovered that the Hexens are holograms. Before they know it, the Hexen vessel captures Trunks and the Phoenix-X is forced to retaliate. The Phoenix-X fans a tractor beam across the Logitech, suddenly finding that the whole ship was a hologram surrounding a small pod. The pod, connected to Trunks, escapes to a starship debris yard to hide.
Memorable quotes[]
- "I have no ethical programming."
"Who knows, maybe you're advanced enough that you're starting to fill in what you don't have." - — Trunks and RaeLuna
Background information[]
- This episode went through a minor formatting change: it is the only episode to feature registry prefixes before every starship in the episode. It's also the last episode to have the dialog appear without quotes, and the descriptions encased within brackets.
- The debris yard visited at the end of the episode is the same location and debris from the battle between the Hellonesians, Nega'Jem, Fragma Alliance and Evvlen in the episode "Crystal Method, Part II".
- This episode marks Elena and Nelkast as taking over as mission-givers, over Admiral Theseus, though it is not revealed they are working from Section 31 until "Departments".
