Real-world protests[edit | edit source]

In 1999, the WTO Ministerial Conference in Seattle was met by several protests, some of which turned into riots. (Star Trek: Poseidon - The Birth of the Federation)

On March 22nd, 2012, a mega-protest was held in Montreal against a $1,625 tuition hike, with over 200,000 protesters taking part, from a variety of schools, such as Concordia University, Edouard Montpetit College, Laval University and the University of Montreal. The events of the 2012 Quebec student strike leading up to the protest were recorded in a Klingon holographic program developed by Alaa, a Klingon history professor. Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois was one of the speakers at that protest. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Rode the 300", "The Defector (TSF)")

Fictional protests[edit | edit source]

In 2255, protesters attempted to destroy one of Melina Endymion's Peace Sculptures erected on the 10th anniversary of the Battle of Donatu V. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station)

In 2384, angry protesters demanded the Korlivilar Consortium to enact changes in World of Warcraft. (RIS Bouteina: "Declaration of Warcraft")

In 2401, a protest held in Tinseltown against a tuition hike, on Malachor V, had five million protesters taking part, including students from Aldanna University and Lagdou University. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "The Defector")

Due to a teacher strike on Peladine, protests were held in a myriad of cities on the planet, around government offices as well as around high schools, with college fairs being targeted. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Post-Apocalyptic Education")
