RIS Bouteina

Before he was assigned to tbe Bouteina, he led a relatively uneventful life in the Romulan Star Navy. Unlike some of his fellow crewmen, he had to stay behind to patrol the Empire's space lanes during the Dominion War.

He started the five-year mission as a sensor technician, famous onboard for his use of cigarettes as medicine. He was even confined to quarters because he made Zama sick with his cigarettes, but temporarily rescinded so he could participate in the repairs of the ship in the wake of Operation Telenoes. As it turns out, he replaced a dead astrometrics officer since the last astrometrics officer died during Operation Telenoes' space part, as well as being promoted. ("Marianela")

He helped ascertain the cause of the llhrei'sian crisis, as being a star going nova.

He consumed cigarettes because he suffered from the Illyrian equivalent of diabetes. However, he had to consume the cigarettes in his quarters. His sickness was incurable. ("Tobacco Quest")

He died on the ship due to his incurable sickness. Also, he wanted to bequeath World of Warcraft accounts to his children. ("Cigarette Redshirt")
