In 2376, a mysterious Cardassian woman named Fareta approached Quark and enlisted his help in auctioning off some priceless artifacts, including the Scrolls of Lisoran. Quark reluctantly agreed and charged to hold the auction in the bar, even though Colonel Kira Nerys had threatened to hang him up by his ears on the Promenade if he was involved in anymore illegal activities on the station.
