Quark

Quark was a Ferengi male and was the proprietor of the eponymous bar on space station Deep Space 9 (and formerly Terok Nor). (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Sometime between 2369 and 2371, Quark purchased a suit from Garak that contained a forgotten data-rod in its pockets. The data-rod contained a copy of the working schematics for the Multi-Vector class starship Phoenix-X. Section 31 had shared the information with the Obsidian Order that Garak was affiliated with. Quark then gave them to Smiley in 2371, of which they were used to create the ISS Phoenix-X. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Mirrorlyness!")

In 2376, a mysterious Cardassian woman named Fareta approached Quark and enlisted his help in auctioning off some priceless artifacts, including the Scrolls of Lisoran. Quark reluctantly agreed and charged to hold the auction in the bar, even though Colonel Kira Nerys had threatened to hang him up by his ears on the Promenade if he was involved in anymore illegal activities on the station. Pendragon timeline

Quark lost his bar, and most of his possessions, when Deep Space 9 was destroyed in 2372. His whereabouts for the next several years are unknown, but upon completion of Project Restoration in 2379, he planned to reopen his bar on the new DS9. An injunction from Bajoran Vedek Pol Tevfyah threatened to keep the bar closed, until Constable Odo contacted the Grand Nagus on Quark's behalf to seek a diplomatic resolution.
