RRW Bloodwing

The RRW Bloodwing, formerly the IRW Bloodwing (Rihannsu: ch'M'R Aen'rhien; formerly ch'R Aen'rhien), was a Romulan D'deridex-class warbird built in the 24th century, which served under several Romulan factions through the early 25th century. By 2409 it had fallen into the hands of the Romulan Republic and was commanded by Morgaiah t'Thavrau. (Bait and Switch)

History

In 2375 the Bloodwing was part of the Romulan Star Empire's fleet during the Battle of Cardassia. After General Velal tr'Hrienteh's flagship IRW D'ridthau was destroyed it rescued the survivors.

Later in its career the ship was given to the Tal'Shiar and used in counterinsurgency operations. During one botched operation it destroyed a refugee convoy. The crew, including gunnery officer Sahuel t'Khnialmnae, later defected with their ship to the Romulan Republic. ("Saith Daepahr hrrafv Llaiirevha, Part I")

In 2410, under the command of Morgaiah t'Thavrau, the Bloodwing took part in an exploration mission in the Delta Quadrant and engaged the Kazon-Tarrik in defense of a civilian freighter, Axiana. It then made first contact with the Optrican Assembly. ("Aen'rhien Vailiuri")

The ship was later assigned to escort duty, protecting a diplomatic delegation at Khitomer seeking a peace treaty with the Romulan Star Empire's praetor, Velal tr'Hrienteh. When the conference came under attack by the Tal'Shiar, Subadmiral t'Thavrau commanded the ship in defense of the planet. (Saith Daepahr hrrafv Llaiirevha)

Later that year, the Bloodwing was tasked to deliver relief supplies to Glintara. ("Solaere ssiun Hnaifv'daenn")

When the Iconian War began, the Bloodwing led 26 Squadron in defense of New Romulus. (Beat the Drums of War)
