Richard Garren was the science officer of the SS Ariadne. (Star Trek: Intrepid)

Early life[edit | edit source]

Garren was born in 2345 on Farius Prime.

Ariadne missions[edit | edit source]

Rick Garren was a skilled but erratic scientist. Where Jago Merik had issues with Starfleet, Dr. Garren actively detested them, blaming them for everything wrong with the galaxy, and few things beside. He never quite forgave his adoptive brother, Joseph Garren, for joining Starfleet.

Family and personal life[edit | edit source]

Richard Garren was the adopted brother of Joseph Garren.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Garren rarely passed an opportunity to criticize Starfleet. While working, he preferred to use "reliable" antique equipment as much as possible, instead of the surplus Starfleet technology that was the norm for the Merchant Service. In addition to his dislike of Starfleet, Rick Garran was determined to one day gain revenge upon Kradek, the man responsible for the murder of his adoptive father.

Memorable quotes[edit | edit source]
