Rusack was a Lyran PhD student at Sorbonne Paris VI.
He was previously enrolled in geology at Quendelton State University, also being an equipment manager for the hussade team there and toying between a geology PhD at the University of Pennsylvania and Sorbonne, where his desire to become a science officer on a combat-oriented starship in Lyran Starfleet won over his desire for research.
