The SS Lucky Shot is a commandeered Klingon B'rel-class Bird of Prey, under the command of Varrak-Sar Kellinnin, used as his 'flagship' for his mercenary business organization. (Star Trek: Courageous)

Ship History

The ship was stolen from the Qualor II Surplus Depot alongside several other rundown and mothballed vessels by the Xyntii Cartel of the Orion Syndicate. Its cloaking device, although outdated and abandoned by the Klingon Defence Force, was repaired and improved on by mechanics from the Cartel.

Later, it was 'rescued' by Varrak-Sar when he left the Syndicate with several former members now loyal to him when he was forced to flee the organization.

Design Features

A B'rel-class scout, it is the smallest ship of the Klingon fleet, but still holds a large cargo hold and an impressive warp capability. Years of inactive service means it is no longer a state-of-the-art ship, and instead requires constant maintenance and occasional replacement parts that are no longer easy to find. Her armament was improved by the Xyntii Cartel, and further enhanced while under Varrak-Sar's command, as she was easily able to destroy a larger Orion Marauder.
