Summary[]
Samantha Delaney's folded space drive prototype has opened a spatial anomaly above a pre-warp civilization. Starfleet Command orders non-interference, citing the Prime Directive, but Antonio Fernandes, who has seen this type of damage first-hand before, disagrees, and he's willing to take matters into his own hands to save the planet...
Notes[]
- Drs. Xavier and Maria Fernandes are introduced in this episode, as are Antonio Fernandes's sisters, Remedios and Amaranta.
- Another type of folded space drive prototype, this time a coaxial warp drive invented by the Fernandeses, is shown with disastrous (but similar) results.
- Two versions of the USS Auckland are shown, one in the past and one in the present.
