Samuel Grissom

Samuel Tobias Grissom was a Federation Starfleet line officer, then flag officer, in service during the 23rd and 24th centuries.

In the 2260s, Grissom commanded the Federation-class dreadnought USS Dominion.

Commodore Grissom captained the Dominion during the Cromwell Nebula Incident. The ship received major damage during the incident, resulting in 17 casualties, including the loss of Commander Don Chamberlain. Grissom was summoned to attend a hearing following the incident and was cleared of any wrongdoing. The commodore resumed command, 19 months later, after the vessel's repair.

Grissom eventually accepted a position at Starfleet Academy. At which point, he relinquished command of the Dominion to his former first officer, Captain Jason Brousseau. (Dreadnought Dominion)

Commodore Grissom was one of the line and flag officers at Starbase 6 who wished newly-minted Captain Robert Tacket well when he departed USS Farragut to take command of the USS Constitution. (FAR: "The Crossing")
