Sector 21505 was a sector of space located within Cardassian space. Amongst the star systems located in the sector is the Cuellar system. (TNG: "The Wounded")
During the waning months of the Federation-Cardassian War in 2366, the Battle of Sector 21505 was fought between forces from the two sides, leading to a Cardassian withdrawal from the area. (Star Trek: Lambda Paz: "Revenge a Dish Best Served Cold")
The following year, the rogue USS Phoenix, under the command of Captain Benjamin Maxwell, assaulted several targets in the region, including an outpost in the Cuellar system. On the order of Starfleet Command, the USS Enterprise-D entered the region in order to assist the Cardassians and stop the Phoenix. (TNG: "The Wounded")
