Seluk was an Orion officer in the Terran Starfleet. In 2267 was stationed on the ISS Quasar as ship's first officer. While the captain and first officer were on an away mission Seluk took control of the ship with the help of a human ensign Nick Sather. Seluk proceeded to use the ship's weapons to kill his captain from orbit. He took command of the ship and used it as a smuggling vessel to help the Andorian and Vulcan rebels under Spock.
