Biography[]
A descendant of Bajoran Militia Space Arm Colonel Shad Yima, Shad Ona served in the Militia Surface Arm in the 24th century, retiring with the rank of field colonel.
From 2388 to 2392 he served as First Minister of Bajor. (Bait and Switch: "A Changed World")
In 2392 Shad was considered a dark horse candidate in the race to succeed the retiring Nanietta Bacco as President of the United Federation of Planets. Shad ultimately came in third place behind Aennik Okeg of Sauria and Jaed Maz of Trill, and was offered a position in Okeg's Cabinet to promote national unity. (The Path to 2409)
