Shinar sh'Aqba was an Andorian Starfleet officer during the late 24th century. From about 2366 to 2373, sh'Aqba served as communications officer aboard the USS Horatio Nelson. By 2374, sh'Aqba had been assigned as one of the USS Lambda Paz's chief engineers in accordance with the practice of a starship having multiple chief engineers during its first year in operation. Her duties largely involved delegating and prioritizing the ship's repair and maintenance needs. She often clashed with Erhlich Tarlazzi over his failure to observe safety protocols, as well as conducting repairs without consulting her or senior chief engineer Charles H. Logan. Despite continuous differences of opinion, sh'Aqba was sexually attracted to Tarlazzi, but felt acting on that attraction was inappropriate with an immediate subordinate.
