Template:FanFic InfoStar Trek: 001 was a message board role playing game that took place aboard Starbase 001 in the mid 28th century.
Various message board users took part in the writing of each episode, and its continuity. The episodes were derived from Episode Discussions in which each user had a say in what they were interested in having happen in the episode: thus making it more of a collaborative effort, than a game. The RPG took place on the message board Helix BBS and later moved to its own forums. It eventually ended in 2005.
Premise
"The year is 2752, and the future of the Federation hangs in the balance. A new power has arisen to fan the flames of war. This alliance of empires is banded together under a common banner and cause - the annhilation of the small remnants of the Federation left after the fallout from the Dominion War, nearly 400 years prior.
