Star Trek: Shattered Universe was an RPG series based on the mirror universe, jumping ahead a century after the game Star Trek: Shattered Universe. The RPG was written by several "players", serving aboard a stolen alien ship, reassigned as the Imperial Starfleet ship ISS Descent. The political powers involved in the universe were the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance and the Terran Empire. By 2382 the Terrans had pushed the Alliance back and restarted the Terran Empire and Starfleet. (Star Trek: Shattered Universe: "Rising Empire")

Background[]
Terror of the Ion Turbulence was a sub-title for the RPG, to separate it from the video game of the same name. Incorporated into the story of the RPG, the sub-title was also the Japanese name of the original series episode "Mirror, Mirror".
