STEU allows canon, non-canon (information from licensed works) and fanon content to be added to its database, with the latter STEU's main focus.
Real-world content dealing with the production of official Star Trek media (movies, TV shows, books), actors (outside those who have appeared in fan films), production staff, etc should not be added to STEU. Such material is better suited for either Memory Alpha (the canon wiki) or Memory Beta (the non-canon wiki).
Given the wide range of sources that could make up any articles on STEU it is important that users cite their sources. Material exclusively created on STEU is not permitted including the writing of fan fiction on the wiki, STEU is an encyclopaedia not a storytelling avenue.
