We definitely need to flesh out more specifically what we consider "junk". (Just use Jamie's articles as examples.) (Joke.) While I'm at it, Homesun's fit the bill. --Sasoriza 22:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Agreed - but figured I'd let the community dictate what is "junk" before I put my personal ideas for all to live by out there.  :-) --Sneg 01:31, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Have we ever discussed the "time frame" something will sit on the deletion list? -- Sneg AdminTalk 14:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
So far it's depended on the article. For Homesun-type stuff, we've only had to wait until there was a majority vote of those most accounted for on the active roster (which at most was a couple days). Typically a week has been our deadline, and I think that should be the standard, if it's strictly a "delete or not delete" issue. Those that obviously qualify as speedy deletes (like Borg alcove) are another matter. Either way, we should make it a policy that only if a majority has voted not to delete, then and only then should the delete tag come off. A copyedit tag could still be on there in the meantime, if someone should come along and make it worthwhile within the voting period, but only after such a vote (again, to not delete) should it become strictly a copyedit. Admins should be the ones to remove or approve the removal of deletion tags, as well as decide if and when to "call it" (the end of the voting timeframe, if other than a week). --SasorizaAT 17:26, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
