Starbase 185, also known as Typhon Station, was as Federation starbase in the 24th and 25th centuries. On the coreward edge of Federation space in the Beta Quadrant, the station was located in orbit of the planet Ladon in the Typhon Expanse. It was one of the main command and control facilities for vessels operating in the Expanse. (Typhon Station)
As of 2365, Starbase 185 was the closest starbase to the J-25 system, and lay along what came to be known as the "Borg vector." (TNG: "Q Who?", Typhon Station, Star Trek: Pendragon)
In 2374, the starbase received footage from the USS Bonchune of the attack by the USS Prometheus that disabled it. The footage was classified top secret, only being shown to the commanding officers of the ships sent to recapture the Prometheus, including Jonozia Lex.
