Stephanie Ottair was the Chief engineer assigned to the USS Grissom (NCC-638) in 2285. She hailed from Ottawa, Canada. Her assignment to the Grissom was her first in the role of chief engineer. Following the death of Commander Solak at Cinera Base, Ottair was field promoted to first officer of the U.S.S. Grissom. She excelled in this role. Ottair was particularly close to Lars Thorsen and they were an effective duo as part of the Grissom command team. (Star Trek: Grissom.
